The book starts off by introducing two of the main characters Piggy and Ralph. They were involved in a plane crash with a school of other boys. They begin to gather their thoughts and tools to work together and survive on the island. Some rising actions are that Ralph becomes the leader with the conch in hand. They create a signal fire with Piggy's glasses. The climax of the story is when Simon meets the Lord of the Flies and gets killed when he tries to tell the others what he has discovered. The falling action of Lord of the Flies is when Jack's tribe tears Ralph's tribe apart and chases him down leading to the resolution. The resolution is where the naval officer discovers the boys chasing Ralph and they are rescued.
